Horizon infra Monitoring provides visibility on our horizon cloud on azure pods’ health & various pod components’ status
As like VMware Cloud services onboarding, you will see a blue banner on top of the admin console on how to activate the monitoring, if we aren’t seeing this banner then either it’s already enabled or not configured for the tenant. if it’s not configured then we have to reach VMWare support teams to get the feature enabled
As directed in the banner message, the monitoring can be enabled from the Settings –> General Settings
Once we click on manage, the next page provides an option to Activate the service
Before Activating the service please check if any of the requirements mentioned in the VMware DNS requirements page aren’t allowed in the firewall (if configured)
Once you click on Activate, an Edge VM will get deployed to your Azure subscription and if the deployment is successful then you will see the status as Activated
After the Activation is completed, the health can be seen from Monitor –> Dashboard –> Infrastructure
By clicking on the Green color circles, it takes you to the corresponding component and shows you the health status
