Horizon Cloud on Azure – Universal Broker Configuration [Part-1]

We have discussed various features in Horizon Cloud on Azure with respect to Single POD brokering in 12 Parts and those can be viewed from VMware Horizon Menu.

Now we will discuss how Universal brokering works in Horizon Cloud on Azure.

Advantages of using Universal Broker:
  • Single URL for Mutiple PODS
  • Multi Cloud assignments from different pods under same customer account

Once you select the broker as Universal broker then it’s permanent setting can’t be changed later.

Configuring Universal Broker

If you are new to horizon cloud and deploying a new POD, you will have an option to select the brokering type from the Horizon Admin console (Settings –> Broker)

In the Broker Page, Select Broker as Universal Broker and proceed with configuration as below

If you have POD already deployed with Single POD broker and wants to move to universal broker, then click on the banner on top of the admin console to proceed with transition which is well documented in VMware Website

What are the changes you can see after Brokering Transition from Single to Universal?
